Ticketing Process

You must register to get a ticket. Please read the following carefully as it is the process to get a ticket for Hyperborea 2018.

HYPERBOREA’S TICKETING PROCESS

Registration Period: March 1, 2018 – March 14, 2018

You must register for a ticket, registration from last year does not qualify you for this year.
By clicking the registration link and filling out the required information, you will be placed in a randomized drawing. The ticket system is not a first-come first-serve basis, allowing everyone time to register over the listed time period. While you can register after the initial period, registering up front gives you a chance at the first (and possibly only) allotment of tickets so we encourage you to register during this time.

Choose whether or not to become a group manager or to join someone else’s group.
You may choose to join together into a group of 25 or fewer people you find critical to your Hyperborea experience.  If you would not go without them, this helps you be placed in the waiting list in contiguous order.

After you have registered, to create or join a group, visit here.

Once a group is created, anyone who has registered for a ticket can request to join the group using the group manager’s email address.  The group manager needs to approve every person added to the group.

As a group leader you will be notified of requests to join your group, and need to visit Group Management to approve new members.

Please note that joining as a group does not affect your odds of getting a ticket in any way.

Draw Selection: March 16, 2018.

Registrations (including groups) will be placed randomly into an order assigned by the ticketing software.

If you are selected in the lottery on March 16, you will be notified.  You can then purchase a ticket within the purchase window.

Every registrant whose turn comes through the waitlist can purchase one (1) ticket for themselves for $100 plus service fee. Once tickets are purchased for an account, tickets may be refunded to the waiting list but are otherwise completely non-transferable.

If you are not selected right away, you will be added to the waitlist.  Anyone not chosen in the drawing will be informed of their status on the waitlist. As people return their tickets or tickets go unpurchased, tickets will be made available to that wait list. You may check your status at any time by logging in to the Registration system.

To get a ticket once Registration reopens March 16 and afterward:

Register to get a ticket; you must register every year.
If tickets are currently available, go to the ticketing page and click the “Register” button. You will be placed on the waitlist behind all people who have previously registered.  As people return their tickets or tickets go unpurchased, tickets will be made available to that wait list. You may check your status at any time by logging in to your account in the Registration system.
If you are selected, you will be notified.

GENERAL REGISTRATION INFORMATION
You must completely register and verify to get any shot at getting a ticket, at any time.  Each Hyperborea attendee must register no more than once and provide their full name and birth date as they appear on a government-issued photo ID.  If your registration is incomplete, it is not considered valid and is therefore not eligible for a ticket offer/purchase.

All ticket offers are non-transferable.

Please have a payment card ready to go when you want to make your purchase. Stripe is our payment processor. The cost for a ticket is $100 plus service fees.

Tickets cannot, under any circumstances, be purchased by an unregistered party. All tickets are non-transferrable.  Please see the section on Drawing and Wait List for more details.

Any person showing up at Hyperborea without a ticket associated with their registration – full name and birthdate – will be turned away.

Persons unable to provide a standard government-issued ID must contact ticketing@tohyperborea.ca. The deadline for entry request with no government-issued ID is Wednesday of the week BEFORE the event (7 days in advance) at 12 p.m. EST. All information will be kept confidential.

CONFIRMATION OF REGISTRATION
Hyperborea Ticketing will send a confirmation of registration when registration is completed to let registrants know that their confirmation has been received. Registrants can also check their status at any time by logging into the registration system.

TICKET OFFERS
The ticket offer email from ticketing@tohyperborea.ca will indicate the deadline by which registrants must make a ticket purchase. The initial window for purchases will be one week from when the ticket offer email is sent. Registrants who do not buy their tickets by the deadline will find their ticket offer rescinded, and the ticket(s) given to the next person on the waitlist. The ticketing system does not allow buyers to purchase multiple tickets for a single registrant.

If your ticket is not purchased, an offer will be made to the next person on the waiting list.

VOLUNTEER TICKETS SALES
Volunteer ticket offers will be sent out from March 2-11.

Volunteers who completed 8+ hours of volunteering at Hyperborea 2017 are qualified for a full price ticket for 2018.

If you have not received a ticket offer and think this is in error, please use this form to contact us. Only inquiries submitted through this form will be responded to.

MINORS
Tickets for children ages 12 and under are free.
Minors will need to be registered with the Hyperborea ticketing team along with their legal guardian. This registration helps HEAT to monitor our population.
ID is not required for minors, but all minors must arrive at the gate with the guardian they registered with. Any minor who does not arrive at the gate with their guardian will be turned away.

*** There are no minors allowed for Hyperborea 2018, due to permitting restrictions, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause***

GIFTING TICKETS
Given the nature of the ticket purchase system, you cannot buy yourself a ticket and then gift it to someone. If you want to gift a ticket to someone, you must coordinate with them outside of the ticketing system.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Notable third-party services used in the processing of tickets are Stripe and various Google products. The ticketing system was created and refined by our friends at the Firefly Arts Collective, Lakes of Fire, and Flashpoint Artists Initiative. Registrants who encounter issues with the use of personal information on these products should notify ticketing@tohyperborea.ca.
